What is Mock Trial?
Mock Trial is a academic competition where as a school we are given a civil/criminal case and present an argument to a judge. With our respective argument, we go against other schools in the country to see which argument ceased better. Each team is made up of three attorneys and three witnesses - this is a team based competition. Interjecting elements of law, debate, theatre, and competition!
As a team, we are apart of the American Mock Trial Association. The American Mock Trial association (AMTA) is what governs competition at the collegiate level. It is composed of over 300 schools across the country, with each school trying a legal case given by AMTA.
